THE TERRAPOD EXPERIENCE NOW IN THE PHILIPPINES

Mr. Marc Soong, Executive Director of LRPhils Motors Inc. (the sole authorized distributor of Land Rover vehicles in the Philippines) together with the Land Rover Club of the Philippines headed by their President - Atty. Robby Consunji, introduced the TERRAPOD, a mobile off-road track that showcases the breadth and depth of the current Land Rover vehicles in a safe, and controlled environment. Engineered here in the Philippines based on the design of the Terrapod used in the U.K., it demonstrates the supreme capabilities of the whole Land Rover line – Defender, Freelander 2, Discovery 4, Range Rover Sport and the Range Rover. “We wanted to bring the extreme 4x4 experience of a Land Rover to our clients without them going through the hassle of going out of town. Aside from that the Terrapod has made this experience a family affair where children even their grandparents can experience the capabilities of our Land Rover vehicles together” exclaimed Mr. Wellington Soong, Chairman and President of LRPhils Motors Inc.

The Terrapod has 4 different obstacles, each highlights the different capabilities of the vehicle:

the SLIDE SLOPE, shows the stability of Land Rover vehicles when engaged in a 25 degrees incline; the WALKING HOLES exhibits the vehicle’s ability to transfer power into the wheels that has the most traction and its best-in-class air suspension system; the UP and OVER, a 30 degree slope up and down, highlights the excellent terrain response system and its dynamic stability control settings, hill descent control, class leading approach and departure angles; the SEE-SAW proves the chassis strength of all the Land Rover vehicles. It tests the driver’s driving skill, balance of the vehicle and Land Rover’s advanced off-road systems.
